MPS Microsystems designs and manufactures miniaturized actuation and optomechanical subsystems for aerospace and defense platforms where SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) constraints are tight and precision is critical. Our building blocks include control-actuation systems for fin control, ultra-compact fin actuators (<100 g, <0.1° rms backlash), high-stability lens positioners with ≤1–2 µm lateral deviation, and plug-and-play linear actuators delivering up to 400 N. Those devices are powered by our own miniature ball screws (Ø4–8 mm, axial play <5 µm) that double as motor shafts, as well as zero stick-slip linear bearings (Ø2–6 mm).
