MPS attaches great importance to climate protection and is committed to its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy. One of the actions that reflects this engagement is the installation of photovoltaic power plants.
Last Friday, November 26, 2021, MPS inaugurated a new solar power plant on the roof of its building in Bonfol. This installation consists of 609 panels with a total output of 220 kW. This plant, which will cover 13.5% of the energy needs of the factory, will help avoid the emission of 132 tons of CO2 each year. Horus Networks Sàrl, the world’s leading solar internet hosting company, carried out the project.
All MPS buildings are now covered with photovoltaic panels. In Court, MPS owns a power plant with a capacity of 165 kW. In Biel, solar panels are present on both buildings and offer a combined power of 149 kW. The power plants in Biel and Bonfol are owned by the PlanetSolar foundation and the Horus Networks Sàrl.
Other CSR measures of MPS include the ISO 14001 certification, the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles and the installation of beehives around the Court site. All CSR measures are detailed here.
