MPS has a rich history. For most of its existence, the company was known as RMB – Roulements Miniatures Bienne. RMB specialized in ball bearings for watchmaking and industry. At the end of the 20th century, the company began to develop more comprehensive systems and expand into other markets.
After RMB was renamed Myonic at the turn of the century, the German Faulhaber Group acquired the “microsystems” division of the company to create MPS Micro Precision Systems AG.
Over the years, MPS has expanded to include Precimed (MPS Precimed), Marcel Frey SA (MPS Décolletage), and more recently Charly Veya and Monnier.
MPS acquires Charly Veya SA, a company from Glovelier (JU). As an expert in high-end stamping for the manufacture of watch cases and oscillating weights, it is joining MPS Watch, the watchmaking division of MPS Group.
MPS Precimed SA is integrated into MPS Micro Precision Systems AG on July 1st 2022.
MPS Precimed is a global leader in orthopaedic instruments for spine, knee and hip surgery.
MPS inaugurates a solar plant on the roof of its production facility in Bonfol. The system has an output of 220 kW and will help avoid the emission of 132 tons of CO2 each year.
