ActiVib & ActiVib evolution bearings
The ActiVib bearing effectively filters the propagation of vibrations generated by the bearing to other components of the watch. For this purpose, the ActiVib bearing incorporates a damper made from elastomeric polymer specially developed for this application.

The ActiVib evolution bearing uses the same construction principles as the basic version. The only difference is that the polymer is not visible through the transparent caseback. As a result, the ActiVib evolution version is compatible with the aesthetic codes of Haute Horlogerie.
Tests performed in laboratory show a decrease in sound vibrations of around 5 dBA for ActiVib evolution.
The type and level of sounds generated by rotation of the rotor can disturb a sensitive wearer of a mechanical watch with automatically-wound movement. To limit such effects, our engineers have created a bearing with built-in damper: the ActiVib bearing. It incorporates a damper made from elastomeric polymer specially developed for this application.
