Installation of beehives

La Ferme au Gros Pré deposits at the beginning of the year, around the month of March, the beehives for the summer season near the Court factory. The first season 2019 was not optimal, nor of any rest (difficult weather conditions for the bees). Thanks to the sponsorship and support of MPS, beekeepers and bees have successfully gone through this ordeal. They were able to start producing honey, essential to their lives. They mixed this sweet nectar with the pollen pellets collected with great effort, a source of food necessary for the development of the larvae that will become the bees of tomorrow. In general, the beekeeping season will remain gloomy with a production in free fall, about 70% less than in 2018. The harvest was therefore not up to expectations, 25 kg were put in pots. The harvest of 2020 will be soon is finished, we look forward to knowing the results.
