Cutting materials as robust as metal plates with laser light requires the use of powerful light sources sometimes reaching several tens of kilowatts. With the use of such high energy levels, even the smallest particle absorbing the light on the surface of the moving lenses that shape the beam can lead to its destruction by excessive localized heating. A fully encapsulated mechanism is therefore needed for this particular application. This is why our sealed linear lens actuator is perfectly adapted for laser cutting.
