Boston

MPS USA Inc. is a subsidiary of MPS that was created to develop the presence of the company in the United States. The offices of MPS USA are located in Downtown Boston. 

Boston was chosen as the location for the subsidiary for many reasons. First of all, New England (which includes the states of Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut and Rhode Island) is known for having a very dynamic industrial sector. It is also home to some of the world's best educational institutions such as MIT and Harvard.

Furthermore, it's the closest large american city to Switzerland. The time difference is only six hours, which enables a close cooperation between the headquarters in Biel/Bienne and Boston. Lastly, travel time between Boston and Biel is shorter than if the subsidiary was in another U.S. city.

The offices

MPS USA is located in Downtown Boston. The office is located on the 16th floor of a building on Milk Street and is part of a shared space where many different companies are active. This allows our employees to exchange thoughts and ideas with people from various backgrounds and industries. 

Our competencies in Boston

The core competencies of our team in Boston are:

  • Project management: Developing a solution for a client from scratch requires strong project management skills. On top of that, we make sure that the client feels understood and that our solutions corresponds to their needs. We are ready to discuss new opportunities with any new customer and provide assistance all along the development process.
  • Development of systems: We rely on advanced technical knowledge in Boston and at our headquarters in Biel/Bienne. Together, our engineers will develop tailor-made solutions that meet any customer's requirements.
  • Sales: Be it for trade shows, visiting clients or scouting new opportunities, our sales team is active all over the U.S. 
  • Order processing: We have a large stock of standard parts in Boston. This allows for fast and easy shipping to customers in North America.

Our other locations

MPS USA in Boston is the fourth location of MPS. Our headquarters are in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, the center of the swiss watchmaking industry. They consist of two buildings. The main building, which was inaugurated in 2008, houses the main offices, R&D, process engineering and a large production facility. The secondary building was taken over in 2019 and is home to the offices of MPS Watch as well as a small production facility. 

MPS also has two large production facilities in Court and Bonfol which produce precision-turned parts for watches and other products.
